Artist Statement
My artistic practice emerged from a lifelong passion for visual storytelling. I originally expressed this passion through a 14 year marketing career before pivoting to art full time. Self-taught and influenced by narrative masters like Ernie Barnes, my work explores resilience through the lens of childhood. Whether depicting worn stuffed animals or children at play, I create accessible visual stories celebrating imperfection and joy. While contemporary art often demands complex interpretation, my philosophy embraces emotional directness. Success lies not in critical acclaim, but in creating work that genuinely moves viewers to reconnect with their own sense of wonder.
